Ok, I’ll admit right up front that I’m not a big wine drinker. But I do know a lot of people who LOVE wine, so it is one of my favorite gifts to give for weddings and other occasions. Wine gift baskets are perfect as almost any kind of present and I’ll tell you why.
People love wine! That’s a big enough reason on its own for either joining a wine club membership or giving one as a gift. If you aren’t interested in the wine, there is a good chance your significant other is.
If you are wondering what to get the in-laws as a gift the maybe a monthly wine club is right for them. Or wine baskets could be the perfect wedding gift to get a newly married couple and send them into their life together.
In fact, I was working the other day and we needed something from another business. That guy came in on his weekend in order to help us out. What did we buy them as a thank you gift? You guessed it. Wine!
He confessed that he was not a big wine drinker, and I could tell by looking at him that he would have preferred a 6 pack of beer. However, he said his wife would love the wine and since he was missing his Sunday with her to help us out, this would help smooth things over at home. Happy wife, happy life, right?
The difficult part about getting wine gifts for someone is that you may not know what kind of wine they like. Do you buy a pino, or chardonnay, or maybe a nice merlot or zinfandel? There are so many to choose from that it can be difficult to pick the right one.
I have a hard time selecting a wine for someone mainly because I’m not a wine connoisseur. I really have no idea what people would like and I don’t have an extensive knowledge of all the various kinds of wine either.
Wine Clubs
This is where wine clubs come in so handy! You don’t have to decide what type of wine to buy for someone. You can just give them the membership to the club and they will get all kinds of wine that they will be able to enjoy every single month. It completely takes all of the guesswork out of buying the gift.
If you love wine, then this is also the perfect gift to give yourself. Wine clubs let you sample wines from various wineries and find ones that you like. If you do find one that you absolutely need to drink again, just request more of that particular type and it will keep showing up at your doorstep.

Where Does the Wine Come From?
The wine can come from a number of different wineries depending on which club you choose. You can select wine from California or the Pacific Northwest. Or maybe you want some wine from France, Italy, Argentina, or Australia just to name a few.
They will also have different price points.
For example, if you want wine only from the USA then it will be cheaper than going with an international option.
The best wine clubs have various options themselves so you can get exactly what you want based on your own tastes.
